Oklahoma NDNQI Collaborative - Survey of NDNQI Data Usage
For the last several years ONA has been working with several hospitals that are participating in the NDNQI to form a statewide collaborative. One of the Collaborative’s projects is to conduct a study that would provided much needed information about collaborative participant’s internal processes and how the facility has used the data from NDNQI to advocate for nurses, change practice or other outcomes. This will provide the collaborative as a whole a better understanding of how hospitals, especially those in the Collaborative, are using the data they receive from NDNQI.
This study will provide the Collaborative with baseline information, promote the collaborative here in Oklahoma and allow the Collaborative to be showcased nationally. One of the ways this data would be used would be as a poster for the upcoming NDNQI Conference. It has been very clear from ANA that they are looking for ways to promote collaboration among hospital companies, states and other ways of connectivity.
