Call for Speakers, Abstracts, and Educational Posters

The Oklahoma Nurses Association (ONA) invites you to be a part of shaping the future of nursing in our state by submitting a proposal for the upcoming ONA Annual Conference in Norman, OK. With the 2025 theme “Moving Nursing Forward,” this year’s event will focus on innovation, leadership, advocacy, and strategies that advance the nursing profession and improve health outcomes for all Oklahomans.

We are accepting proposals for:

  • Podium Presentations 
    Engaging 45-minute sessions that share knowledge, best practices, research findings, or innovations in care delivery, leadership, or nursing education.
  • Poster Presentations 
    Visual displays of research, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, or educational projects—ideal for both experienced nurses and students.
  • Student Contributions Welcome! 
    Nursing students and new graduates are highly encouraged to submit posters or co-present with faculty or mentors.


Topics May Include (but are not limited to):

  • Advancing clinical practice and patient outcomes
  • Leadership development and workforce resilience
  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare
  • Technology and innovation in nursing
  • Health policy, advocacy, and public health
  • Interprofessional collaboration
  • Nursing education and student success
  • Mental health and well-being of nurses

Submission Deadline: June 6, 2025

Please include:

  • Presentation or Poster Title
  • Abstract (up to 250 words)
  • Presenter(s) names, credentials and affiliations
  • 2-3 measurable learning objectives
  • Short bios and contact info

All submissions will be peer-reviewed. Selected presenters will receive discounted conference registration.
